In a survey conducted by Piper Jaffray, it was found that 8% of U.S. teens own an iPhone and 22% want one. The numbers have increased over the previous survey, and is an indication of the popularity of the iPhone among youngsters.

This obviously is good news for iPhone Application developers, and we surely see a lot of iPhone apps targeted at the teen segment being developed around us.

With the iPhone acquisition cost expected to come down in the coming quarters in India, we can expect a similar enthusiasm among Indian youth towards iPhone.
